Embed your Google Drive Pictures into your Blog

I use Google Drive as my Cloud solution. Since I already store all my pictures there it would be nice to directly embed them in my blog posts instead of uploading them additionally to my blog site.

That was possible via some link tweaking, but I just saw that Google now officially added an embed feature, which is great! Still, it is a bit hidden.

  • Allow the picture to be seen by anybody
  • Open the picture by a double click
  • Now choose “Open in a new tab” by clicking this symbol:
  • In the new tab click:
  • and choose “Embed element” which gives you a link to an iframe embedding the picture
  • Twitter
  • Bookmark Embed your Google Drive Pictures into your Blog at
  • Facebook
  • Google Bookmarks
  • Digg Embed your Google Drive Pictures into your Blog
